i had a date with my sis to watch the da vinci code. prior to the movie she was already teasing me that i wouldn't be allowed in the theaters. i just laughed it off. i mean the last (memorable) time that happened was when i tried to watch the firm. and at that time i really didn't have the right to be there.
so i gave our tickets to the usher (my sis was ahead of me). she returned the stubs to me and i was putting them back in my wallet. i was vaguely aware of her speaking but i wasn't paying attention. my sis had to nudge me. "huh?" was my only reply. usher: ilang taon ka na? me: blank look on my face (which come to think of it didn't help my cause) usher: ilang taon ka na? sis: ha? e matanda na yan no. lampas 26 na yan e. usher: ganun ba? (sheepish look on her face) me: (laughing) ay salamat po! (my sis was laughing all the way to our seats, that is until i reminded her that they didn't ask for her age... and she's younger than me! after that i was the one laughing.. hehehhe)
i don't know whether i should be flattered or what. hahahha. i mean i know i look young and whenever people would ask how old i am i'd exaggerate and say 16 or 17. well this just proves it. i know if i were in another country outside asia i could probably get off with that fib but not here. apparently i can still slash 10 years off my age! :)
i won't try to go into a movie review of da vinci. (at sino ba naman ako para mag-critique di ba?) thought it wasn't spectacular. i still preferred the book. of course i wasn't able to watch the entire movie. some parts were just too graphic (for my taste)... the flagellation part i had my eyes closed, though i did manage to get a glimpse of paul bettany's butt. :P
the movie did strengthen my desire to go to europe. sigh. je veux aller a Paris! le louvre, arc du triomphe, eiffel tower! sino ulit yung kasama ko magbackpack through europe? kapag nakaipon na... at kung makakuha ng visa :D
happy mother's day to all mums (and surrogate moms) out there... sa aking ina na kahit *ahem* na e parang... ah heck.. who always manages to give sound advice, not too mention cool ones... and always tries to psychoanalyze me... hahaha. happy mother's day. luv u. to my tita's who've also played mums to us. luv u too! aw! hahahaha. tama na nga.. cheesy. that is if my mother ever gets to read this blog. methinks not in the near future.. although wholesome naman itong blog na ito.. still.. it might ruin her image of me as the "perfect" first child. although my brother is the perfect son and my young sis is the perfect.. brat. hehehe.. methinks all mothers think that their children are perfect...
hmm... except for balqui who has sworn that if ever her child is not up to par with her impossible expectations, she'd disown the poor kid. but i know you didn't mean that, did you?
it's been a rainy weekend... love the rainy days. especially if you're indoors curled up with a good book (or e-book). pero i prefer the actual book, something about the smell of paper and flipping through the pages. sigh. mababaw lang kaligayahan ko. still haven't finished my backlog of books. and i keep buying! kaya ebooks na lang.. free download para makatipid. :D
tapos na ba ang summer? tag-ulan na ba? hindi pa ako mashadong umitim a! beach ulit! :)

spent 5 amazing days in boracay. vacation got unexpectedly extended. God didn't want us to go home yet and sent a storm our way. except for that, it was one relaxing trip.
first out of town barkada trip. long overdue. buti nga medyo kumpleto kami. sayang lang wala si des.
i think not a night passed that we didn't have our fill of alcohol. and i wonder why i'm having an allergic reaction?!? it was funny to see people tipsy. hmm.. or maybe it's because i seem to find everything funny when i've had a shot of alcohol. ha.. pero hindi lang ako yung ganun! :P enough about that.. what happens in boracay, stays in boracay =D
days were spent under the sweltering sun. nognog na kami. (tho not that big a leap from my original skin color... hahahha.. may maiitim p pla ako!) kain, tulog, langoy ng konti, tulog ulit, shopping, kain, tulog, kain, inom, tulog, some water activities on the side, tulog, kain, inom.... ah at nasabi ko na bang kumain kami at natulog? in short nagpaka-ms.piggy kami.
ang saya. since maraming kasamang photographers at kaming aspiring photographers.. hindi naubusan ng photo-ops. puro out of focus lang nga. mahirap mag-focus pag-tipsy e!
sana maulit muli. i feel the seas beckoning again... so kelan ang bohol, cebu, galera, palawan, etc. etc.?!?
